USA-based Field Applications/Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Orlando, Florida or Remote (USA)
Description:
Our distributor for North America (EIZO Rugged Solutions) is seeking a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) or Technical Sales Engineer to provide our customers with specialized pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
In this role, you'll define requirements, deliver compelling product presentations and demos, and assist with product deployment and configuration, collaborating closely with our UK-based engineering team.
If you have a strong background in software and complex system architectures (processors, networking, electrical interfaces, graphics), we want to hear from you. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field, coupled with practical system deployment experience, is essential. Experience with radar or vision systems is a plus, but we'll provide training.
This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills to build trusted customer relationships, and the ability to absorb complex technical information. Depending on your aptitude, the role can expand to include sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide front-line technical support and training
- Ensure customer success and technology adoption
- Develop demos, POCs, and deliver technical workshops
- Consult with sales, review configurations, and ensure compliance
- Build strong relationships with key technical influencers
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering / Electrical / Computer Science / Physics or related
- 2+ years of programming experience (C++, Java, HTML, .NET)
- Experience with radar and EO/IR/PTZ sensors
- 2+ years in a customer-facing role
- US Citizen with flexibility for travel
Desired Skills:
Strong software technical skills (network configuration, device drivers), electrical engineering technical skills, and a Master's degree.

Preferred:
- Understanding radar or vision systems
- You have at least 2 years C++ and .NET programming experience.
- You have experience with image processing OR defense, security or maritime software.
- Experience working within the defense industry.
