RadarWatch is a ready-made application capable of displaying radar video, tracks, AIS, ADS-B and camera video, within multiple windows and across multiple screens. RadarWatch takes all of its inputs from network sources and supports a number of standard data formats, making it ideal for use in distributed architectures.
Designed to support multiple screens, RadarWatch allows the operator to drag, resize and reposition multiple display windows at will. The layout and graphics settings for all RadarWatch windows may be saved and restored with ease. Featuring Cambridge Pixel's trusted scan conversion technology, RadarWatch provides smooth, reliable and accurate display of radar video, along with symbology, on top of tiled maps or S57 electronic charts.
Comprehensive alarm logic is built into RadarWatch, allowing alarms to be generated under user-defined conditions. Graphical support is provided for defining alarm areas, alarm gates (uni- or bi-directional) and reference points. RadarWatch also performs CPA/TCPA calculations between target pairs and between targets and reference points. Alarms may be visual and audible, and network messages may also be generated and sent out to external equipment.
Augmented Vision
RadarWatch seamlessly unites presentation of radar and transponder data with display of camera video and camera control, affording operators the best possible situational awareness and enabling features such as slew-to-cue.
RadarWatch takes this a multi-sensor presentation a step further by adding radar/AIS/ADS-B information directly into the camera video feed. This unique feature allows targets to be labelled within the camera video footage, easing the burden the operator.
If a vessel's IMO or MMSI number is available RadarWatch can perform a lookup of vessel image, either from an Internet service-based or local database, providing fast visual verification of a vessel's true identity. Camera snapshots may also be taken and stored to supplement the information held for a vessel.
Integrated Solutions
RadarWatch accepts open data formats, such as ASTERIX and NMEA-0183, for its inputs and may therefore be may be used as a ready-made slave display for these data types. However, it is also designed to work closely with other Cambridge Pixel applications, including: SPx Server, SPx Fusion Server, Camera Manager and RDR.
This modular approach makes it easy for systems integrators to design and build a complete solution, selecting the functional modules necessary to meet the requirements of the particular project. For example, if target tracking from radar video is required, simply include SPx Server. If the data sources include radar tracks from multiple radars and/or AIS, use SPx Fusion Server to combine them. If the project requires recording and replay of the data source, add RDR.
